The village of Leland is sandwiched in between
Lake Michigan and Lake Leelanau.
  Leland is your typical
tourist town with many shops, artist studios and galleries
and an assortment of restaurants.
Many are open year-round though most are seasonal businesses.
Home to historic Fishtown,
ferry service to both North and
South Manitou island and the Leland Township Harbor.
For over a century commercial fishermen have fished out
of the Leland Harbor.
Today Fishtown is home to a working fishery and a thriving charter fishing business. The riverfront
is lined by a boardwalk and quaint shacks that have been converted into tourist shops.
