Maple City is Leelanau's smallest city with just 3 retail businesses located downtown and 2 more on the edge of town. Maple City is centrally located right in the heart of Leelanau County. Just a short drive from fishing, swimming, boating and the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
Maple City is a more of a rural town and not much associated with tourism, though many area visitors find their way to Maple City for some of Gabes Market fabulous Beef Jerky or one of Pegtown Station's New York Style Pizza. The winter time
brings many snowmobilers into town by way of the local snowmobile trail that ends in Maple City at the Maple City Benchwarmers sports bar.
